About facial creams

For years there has been a debate whether the quality and the effect of the cream depends on its price or not.

The price of the rejuvenation creams mostly depends on the power of the brand, the money invested in commercials, and in the last place it depends on its structure and the technology of production. Unfortunately, for the majority of the very expensive creams there are not enough studies on the patients that would confirm their efficiency. So the creams that cost several thousand dollars and contain human placenta or platinum did not prove themselves to be efficient in removing wrinkles from the face.

The cons of buying expensive facial creams are the possibilities that their structure does not suit our skin or that they even cause irritation, redness or allergic reactions. In such situations even the cheaper facial cream that hydrates our skin properly shows more efficiency in making our skin look youthful and refreshing and it does not irritate our skin.

Increasingly popular natural ingredients usually include extracts of certain plants. You should bear in mind that some plants are strong allergens, right behind the metal nickel. The security of natural cosmetics should be tested, because some plants may have the effect of highly concentrated corticosteroids even though they are thought of being safe because they come from nature. The natural components of estrogen and progesterone can be added into the structure of rejuvenation creams which can negatively affect the health of the person using it.

The thing that is proven today is that the presence of alpha-hydroxy acid in creams, alpha and beta hydroxy acids, do the daily chemical exfoliation thereby stimulating the skin to have a younger and more beautiful texture. The mandatory protective factor of the facial creams is another proof that the cream is effective, because sun rays are the biggest enemy of fresh-looking skin. Antioxidants, especially vitamin E and vitamin C largely neutralize free radicals that damage the skin and lead to premature cell death. Reparative ingredients such as retinol, peptides and minerals modify the skin and allow the formation of new collagen and elastin. The emollients connect all of these ingredients and hydrate and soften the skin. If the cream contains all of the aforementioned substances it is not important which packaging it has, who is the manufacturer and what is its price.

You must be aware of the fact that the wrinkles on the face are created by muscles that make true facial expressions and carve the lines on the face. Another important factor in the appearance of wrinkles is the loss of subcutaneous adipose tissue, which is characteristic of the aging process. None of these factors can be stopped by applying the cream, regardless of the composition and production technology. So the commercials claiming that you will have up to 40% less wrinkles after one month of care with a cream is just an illusion.
